“For him who has perception a mere sign will suffice. For him who does not heed, a thousand explanations are not enough.”
“A good painter has two chief objects to paint, man and the intention of his soul; the former is easy, the latter hard.”
I decided to begin this summary with two of my favourite quotes. I feel these most accurately sketch an impression that details the breakthroughs I experienced this past weekend.
I also wanted to acknowledge the fact that we all come into this game at different points in our lives. There is no perfect, one size fits all mold to adopt, and furthermore we each have different aspirations and goals that we wish to achieve. Often, things are presented to us, and we take them immediately as a universal truth. We fail to digress, and truly consider what applies to us in our individual journey.
The simple point I wish to make through this statement is if you are considering to take a Bootcamp, take the time to connect with your goals. For me, this was honestly the hardest part of my preparation. Let us remember that the common bond we share along our paths is that we all wish to fulfill our individual potentials and become charismatic men.
Lets begin..
It must be said early on that James is truly an inspiring teacher. From the moment I met him on a rather cool Sydney evening, until we parted ways on the Sunday afternoon he helped me achieve all that I hoped for. He was able to look inside me and articulate what I needed. He took the time to show me the tools I needed to express the parts of myself that I had forever longed to share. In inspiration of the above quotes, he gave me a perception of the world which I had never grasped before, as well as enlightening me on the basics of revealing my unique self.
The weekend overall held a unique flavour as Sydney had its inaugural Mardi Gras Parade. The vibe and energy within the air seemed to be heightened over the 3 days with party revelers looking forward to the momentous event. James took the opportunity to use this energy to help warm us up, and on a personal level I felt the parade itself was a spectacular one.
So, what happened over the weekend I hear you ask?
Instead of detailing what occurred on each particular day, I wish to break away from tradition slightly and share with you some of the individual highlights.
If I was to rate the success of this weekend out of the amount of phone numbers I received, by the Saturday I had lost count. Instead I keep trying to remember the magical interactions I shared with complete strangers including an amazing rock climber in a bookstore. With a divine body, and a deep love for the city of Paris, I was awe struck. Afterwards James remarked to me that watching my approach I nailed the mechanics perfectly. Despite this being only my second approach for the day.
I proceeded to walk out of the bookstore with a quieting confidence. It felt like I was floating on a cloud. I entered a beauty store which lay ahead, and no more than 10 minutes later I walked out with a ton of samples in my hands, including a complete product catalogue with the number of a gorgeous sales assistant scribbled inside. I loved hearing about her plans to travel the world this coming year, including the fact that she was so close to her family.
I want to save a special mention to the fellow student I shared this experience with. He decided to take the challenge despite english being his second language. Throughout the weekend he showed a resilient and inspiring determination to push through all the barriers he encountered. In the end, I was proud to see him realise his new potential.
Over the weekend just past, I feel like James has placed the keys to the world in my hands. As I hold them toward the night sky as I write this, an overwhelming feeling of opportunity and abundance is starting to swell up within me.
